The latest iteration of our SWING, now in its fourth version, showcases a sophisticated design and incorporates the advancements seen in the fourth edition of the STRIKE. This iteration enhances the riding experience, delivering unparalleled sensations and controlled velocity, ensuring foil stability across various conditions. Positioned strategically within our lineup, it bridges the gap between the newly introduced ORIGIN and the STRIKE, offering a unique blend of features.
Drawing on our expertise in Sail Engineering, the updated SWING facilitates an effortless launch into planing, aided by its inherent flexibility, enabling riders of all skill levels to opt for a smaller wing surface for increased agility. The SWING's design remains compact, with a shorter wingspan for superior ease of handling and wave surfing capabilities. Hand placement is optimized, ensuring comfort without the need to reach too high, enhancing the overall session experience.
The SWING excels in catching even the subtlest waves, maintaining a lightweight and stable presence during freeflight. It achieves perfect air hold in a neutral position while navigating waves, automating flight with minimal resistance, allowing riders to harness wave power effectively. Instantaneous power generation becomes a critical asset for exiting waves or executing water starts, ensuring safety outside the impact zone. INTERCHANGEABLE HANDLES
In 2024, all our wings are fitted with our new interchangeable handle system. Whether you’re looking for a light and comfortable setup with soft handles, a more direct and aggressive ride with hard handles or something in between with our innovative hybrid handles, we’ve got you covered.
Wings come with soft handles pre-installed, but swapping a handle set between wings is quick and easy thanks to our screwless setup.
Soft handles: A classic on our wings, our grippy, ergonomic and super comfortable handles allow for some flexibility so your wrist is always in line with your arm. Attached to the wing’s webbing by a Velcro system, these handles benefit from a light yet firm construction that doesn’t include any hard parts.
Hybrid handles: An F-ONE innovation, these are soft handles that are connected to the wing’s webbing by a hard base. It will lead to a more direct feel in your hands for more performance and control, while still fully benefiting from the comfort and grip of the soft handles.
Hard handles: Offering more efficient pumping and a more direct feedback, these hard handles are ideal for riders seeking control and precision.
Boom: For those who need maximal freedom, the boom lets you position your hands completely freely. It’s the perfect option for freestyle.
Tech specs
The fourth iteration of our SWING incorporates the advanced design features found in the latest STRIKE model. Its central strut has been redesigned to be completely straight, enhancing our ability to manage its deformation and minimize twisting, effectively reducing drag. This adjustment leads to a lower and less deformable infill, extending it nearly to the wing's rear end. We've also streamlined our Load Diffuser to lighten the wing, a significant advantage in freeflight scenarios.
Flexibility is engineered into the SWING's leading edge, optimizing control without compromising performance at higher speeds. The meticulous arrangement of panels, precise management of loads, and strategic placement of staggered seams ensure unparalleled profile control across the full spectrum of wind conditions. The introduction of HITEX on the inflatable parts, along with NANO and HT80 materials on the canopy, enhances resistance to stretching, thereby boosting both durability and performance. These materials are carefully allocated to accommodate varying tensions, pressures, and weight distributions, fine-tuning the SWING for exceptional surfing and downwind capabilities.
To evenly distribute tensions, small radial cuts are made on the wingtips and the strut's rear. Aligning fibers precisely along the load paths enables unprecedented control over stretching. Our Load Diffuser, positioned at the strut's back and composed of layered Mylar and Dacron panels, plays a crucial role in maintaining a streamlined and efficient profile. This contributes to unmatched stability, performance, and longevity, making the SWING a groundbreaking option for surf and downwind enthusiasts.
