Among the earliest projects undertaken by the talented Spencer brothers, Finn and Jeffrey, upon joining Team Duotone was the ambitious redesign of our Downwinder board series. The outcome is a collection of sleek, high-speed, and slender designs that offer exceptional efficiency, allowing you to catch even the tiniest swell with just a few strokes of your paddle.

For the upcoming 2024 lineup, we proudly present four specialized options ranging from the compact 6'4" x 19" and 6'10" x 20" to the medium-sized 7'2" x 21" and the stable yet user-friendly 7'8" x 22.5". These boards are available in volumes of 85, 95, 115, and 135 liters.

Featuring a low rocker, elongated outline, and clean bottom contours, these boards effortlessly accelerate to take-off speed. Once in motion, the slender pin tails, accentuated by well-defined rail bevels on the larger models, make it easy to engage the water for pumping your board and foil into take-off. Up front, the rounded rails reduce the risk of unwanted catches and provide neutral steering, ensuring forgiving take-offs and touchdowns, freeing your mind to focus on the waves.

Thanks to their remarkable glide and swift acceleration, the Downwinder boards prove to be formidable tools even in light wind conditions when used for Wing Foiling.

Crafted with a lightweight full carbon construction, these boards demand careful handling. However, recognizing that board weight plays a crucial role in paddle-up performance, we've opted for a no-compromise technology for the 2024 Downwinders.
