F-One 2025 Wing Guide – Freestyle, Waves & All-Round

The 2025 F-One Wing Lineup: Choosing the Right Wing for Your Riding Style

As wing foiling continues to evolve, so do the wings that power riders across the water. F-One remains at the forefront of innovation, and the 2025 line-up of wings is no exception. For 2025 the wing range has expanded to include the STRIKE v5 and the STRIKE v5 ALUULA, that sit along side the SWING v5 and ORIGIN. In this guide, we’ll break down the key differences and help you decide which wing suits your needs best.

F-One ORIGIN: The Original feel of Wingfoiling.

The F-One ORIGIN is an absolute dream in the low end, offering a super comfortable, light, and forgiving ride. Designed for effortless handling, this wing allows for easy take-offs with minimal pumping and just enough speed to get going. Its flexible design ensures intuitive and efficient pumping, making it accessible for beginners while still enjoyable for seasoned riders looking for a smooth and fatigue-free experience.

Who is the ORIGIN for?

  • Riders looking to spend long hours on the water with minimal effort.
  • Those who use larger foils and boards and need an easy power source for planing starts.
  • Beginners who want a high-quality, accessible wing with room for progression.
  • Anyone looking for an ideal light-wind wing to extend their riding sessions.

Whats new for 2025:

  • Optimised handle positions to allow one boom for more wings
  • New 6m size
  • New Panel Layout to resist elongation for more performance and durability

F-One SWING v5: The Ultimate Wing for Wave Riding & Downwinding

The F-One SWING V5 is designed to elevate your wing foiling experience with an unmatched blend of comfort, lightness, and intuitive handling. Whether you’re riding waves or chasing downwind runs, this latest edition of the SWING takes performance to the next level. Thanks to its improved stability and balance, the SWING V5 offers total control over your foil, allowing you to focus entirely on your ride. Its exceptional upwind performance makes getting into a downwind run effortless, while its ideal freefly position lets you glide smoothly with the swell.

Who is the Swing v5 for?

  • Riders who want a stable flagged out wing so they can focus on riding.
  • Those who prioritize power to get going early to allow for being on a smaller wing.

Whats new for 2025:

  • Reduced wingspan for better manoeuvrability and earlier starts
  • Sweep Control Panel for trailing edge tension control for further durability
  • New shape for more efficiency in low winds and more control in stronger winds.

F-One STRIKE v5: The Ultimate Freestyle and Performance Wing

The STRIKE v5 is a refined masterpiece designed for riders who demand power, stability, and control. Thanks to F-One’s new Sweep Control Panel technology, this wing offers improved upwind ability, balance, and precision. The revised profile enhances efficiency, making the STRIKE v5 ideal for both freestyle riders and those looking for smooth power delivery in varied conditions.

Who is the STRIKE v5 for?

  • Riders who want a freestyle-ready wing with excellent pop and control.
  • Those who prioritize power delivery and smooth acceleration.
  • Anyone looking for a versatile wing that excels in various conditions.

Whats new for 2025:

  • New profile which provides greater efficiency and a more comfortable ride when fully powered
  • Sweep Control Panel for trailing edge tension control for further durability paired with a new radial cut helps keep the wing solid under load.
  • Revised strut connection to leading edge to increase stability upwind and at high speed

F-One STRIKE v5 ALUULA: The Lightweight Powerhouse

For those looking for the next level in weight reduction, speed, and manoeuvrability, the STRIKE v5 ALUULA is the answer. The integration of ALUULA fabric makes this wing significantly lighter while increasing its overall responsiveness.

The ALUULA version takes everything great about the STRIKE v5 and supercharges it, making it a top choice for riders pushing the limits in freestyle, free fly, and high-wind conditions. The Aluula Strut and Aluula Sweep Control Panel helps stiffen up the wing and reduce strut diameter for more efficiency.

Who is the STRIKE v5 ALUULA for?

  • Riders who demand the lightest and most responsive wing.
  • Those who want more speed and agility in their maneuvers.
  • Anyone pushing the limits in freestyle, racing, and freefly disciplines.

Whats new for 2025:

As F-One have not had an Aluula Strike before its all new but below are some of the upgrades when compared to the standard construction.

  • Thinner strut than standard which is more efficient through the air without any loss of stiffness.
  • Weight reduction thanks to Aluula.
  • Stiffer leading edge and tighter trailing edge thanks to Aluula.

STRIKE v5 OR STRIKE v5 ALUULA

The introduction of Aluula into the Strike range is no real surprise, with the material being lighter weight and stiffer than traditional materials but what is interesting is to see the way F-One have used it – a complete Aluula strut (as per last years CWC v4) but not a complete Aluula leading edge. Instead they have opted for a strip of Aluula on the front of the leading edge from just off centre out towards the wing tip.

This Aluula strip on the leading edge they are calling a Sweep Control Panel and the point of it is to help control the trailing edge tension. Often older wings feel like they bag out this is caused by two things; the canopy stretching which is less prevalent now thanks to redesigned panel layouts but the second reason is harder to see and its the leading edge stretching/collapsing and there fore the wing tips get cloer together causing a flappy trailing edge. The new Aluula Sweep Control Panel utilises the strength of Aluula and will limit the collapse of the leading edge and therefore stop the wing tips getting closer together and there for keeping a tighter trailing edge.

The Strike is quite a flat and tight canopy wing, this is why it needs to be pumped quickly to get going but this is also why its great when powered up and overpowered – it feels solid and stable and allow you to turn that power into speed and lift so the introduction of Aluula will increase the stiffness where it matters but should still allow the wing to breathe in the gusts to help keep in control.

Which Wing Should You Choose?

F-One have a really clear structure for their wings and in their minds you can start and progress on the Origin then as you decide the riding style you will want to do more there is a choice:

ORIGIN – Entry Level – Advanced | Cruisey | Relaxed Ride | All Round

SWING – Improvers – Advanced | Wave Riders | Downwinders | Stability

STRIKE – Improvers – Advanced | Speed | Freestyle | All Round Performance

ALUULA STRIKE – Performance | High End Freestyle | High Speeds
