The Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X takes Ozone’s AWSI Innovation of the Year-winning all-round parawing and strips it back for maximum float and minimum pack size. It is up to 17% lighter than the standard Pocket Rocket V2 and packs about 20% smaller (about as small as the Ozone PowerPack), which makes it ideal for light-wind sessions, downwind foiling and drifting, and for riders who want to pack and redeploy the wing on the water.
A 10D (25g) single-ripstop canopy and 27g hard-finish ribs with load-targeted cutouts take the weight out where it is not needed, and the Ultra-X floats reliably through turns and downwind transitions so the lines do not go slack. The 5.7m and 6.5m sizes get two extra cells for better leading-edge shape, extra lift and glide in soft wind, and the new 6.5m flies from around 8 knots.
It keeps everything that makes the Pocket Rocket V2 work: a supportive canopy with diagonal ribs for upwind performance, a smooth, forgiving power delivery with a big sweet spot and extra power when you pump, a lower stall speed when pointing high, and trailing edge V-shrink tabs that reduce the need for brake lines and make launching onto the foil easier.
Key Features:
- Up to 17% lighter: Compared with the standard Pocket Rocket V2.
- About 20% smaller packdown: Load-targeted rib cutouts and a lighter canopy reduce packing volume.
- 10D single-ripstop canopy: Agile in the air and compact when stowed.
- Extra cells on the 5.7m and 6.5m: Two additional cells for lift and glide in soft wind.
- New 6.5m size: Flies from around 8 knots.
- 90g monobloc carbon bar, 35cm: Finger rests and an A-line stopper nub for easy depower.
- Coated, colour-coded bridles: Slide smoothly, resist tangling and redeploy quickly.
- Short bridle layout and centre front line riser: Faster packdowns and lower hand forces.
- Trailing edge V-shrink tabs: Fewer brake lines and easier launching onto the foil.
- New Ultra-X backpack: Wide shoulder straps, adjustable harness system and breathable mesh panels.
A little extra care: Ozone designed the Ultra-X for experienced riders who know how to handle, launch, land and pack lightweight equipment. The materials are not designed to be dragged across the ground or water, or to take heavy impact loads under tension such as catching water, so relaunch from the water by flying the leading edge first with your hands rather than pulling on the bar.
What’s included: Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X wing, 35cm 90g monobloc carbon control bar with colour-coded bridle lines, elastic harness line, Ultra-X backpack and repair kit. Ozone recommends a harness such as the Parawing Stash Harness or Stash Belt V2.
Best for: Light-wind sessions, downwind foiling and drifting, and anyone who wants a very light, packable parawing.
