  • A hydrofoil is like an underwater wing that lifts your board above the surface as you gain speed. The result? A smooth, fast, and almost friction-free ride that feels like you’re flying across the water.

  • Aluminium foils are tough, affordable and ideal for learning. Carbon foils are lighter, stiffer and offer a faster, more responsive feel for performance riding or racing.

  • Think about your weight, experience level and riding style when choosing a wing size:

    Large wings (1000–2000 cm²): More lift and slower speeds. Great for beginners or light wind.
    Small wings (500–900 cm²): Less lift and higher speeds. Better for advanced riders or stronger wind.

  • Check the mounting system. Most modern boards use twin tracks (US boxes), while some older or race boards use Tuttle or Deep Tuttle. Always check foil-to-board compatibility in the product specs.

  • Beginner foils are designed to lift easily and stay stable at lower speeds. Performance foils are thinner, faster and more efficient for advanced carving, racing or downwind riding.

  • Yes, you can upgrade foils part-by-part. Different wings, tails, masts and fuselages can change performance for waves, speed, freestyle, downwind or to improve stability in certain conditions.
