F-one Strike V3 Wing

For this Third Edition of our iconic STRIKE, the R&D team has worked on three areas: the materials, the placement of these materials and the design to improve performance and durability.

MATERIALS The inflatable structure of the STRIKE V3 is made of HITEX 158g and 178g. This brand-new high tenacity polyester exclusive to F-ONE offers great resistance to elongation and therefore greater durability and performances. The central strut is thinner in diameter thanks to the HITEX 158g and its independent valve that allows for a better control of its pressure. Its longitudinal reinforcements help command its shape and resistance.
The four central segments of the leading edge on each side of the strut are made of HITEX 178g, while the four outer segments nearer the wingtips are in 158g. Both materials are perfectly distributed to account for the different tensions, high pressures, and weight distribution in this area.
Since the beginning, we have also kept a thin leading edge diameter at the wingtips, bringing agility, comfort and glide, but also lightness and less inertia.
In addition to the new HITEX, we have developed a thicker TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 66g for the trailing edge where tensions are important and resistance essential. The rest of the wing’s canopy is in TECHNOFORCE™/D2 in 52g.

WING DESIGN
Our Sail Engineering team has developed an innovative design for the STRIKE V3, with meticulous attention to detail in adapting the wing's shape to the latest materials and tensions. Each panel is strategically placed to handle specific loads, with horizontal panels in the front, vertical seams, and radial center panels to accurately follow load trajectories. The trailing edge features a 66g vertical panel and radial cuts to spread tensions, while fiber alignment along load paths ensures unmatched stretch control.

This precise load management has extended the wind range of the STRIKE V3, creating a greater range of perfect wind strengths. Staggered seams keep the profile smooth and efficient, with superb stability for balanced riding. The innovative Load Diffuser made of Mylar and Dacron maintains the profile sleek and efficient for ultimate stability and longevity. Reinforcements have been optimized for durability and weight savings, with a flatter dihedral angle for improved power and pumping abilities.

A more compact outline with less span makes the STRIKE V3 easier to pump and ride, with perfect balance on both arms thanks to the center of traction placement. Revised profiles offer even more comfort and control in strong winds, with impressive high-end potential and effective forward traction. The STRIKE V3 is truly a revolutionary wing, delivering unparalleled performance and stability.

* HANDLES*
In order to enhance rider control of the wing, we have made improvements to our handles by adding rigidity while maintaining the lightweight, hard-part-free construction that safeguards against damage to the wing, board, or rider. Our handles are designed for comfort, ergonomics, and a secure grip, with some flexibility to keep the wrist in line with the arm.

This upgrade also allowed us to optimize the strut design, with the front of the strut extending straight down to the front hand before curving up into the wing's profile near the back hand. This results in a more intuitive position for sheeting in.

PERFORMANCE AND CONTROL
