Downwind Mastery: Glide effortlessly downwind on lakes or the open ocean with greater speed and control.
Explore Beyond Limits: Access hard-to-reach locations that are impossible to paddle to.
Flat Water Fun: Practise maneuvers and ride even the smallest bumps in chop or flat water.
Upwind Performance
The Roger Parawing can go upwind just as effectively as a traditional wing. The technique differs slightly, but the result is the same: smooth, efficient upwind riding.
Ideal Board Setup
Start with a downwind board or a mid-length board with generous volume—10–20 litres above your body weight is recommended. The sweet spot for board length typically falls between 5’7” and 7’0”.
Wind Range & Sizing
The Parawing shines in light wind conditions, often outperforming inflatable wings in marginal breeze. While it has slightly less top-end wind range, the overall sail size to wind range is comparable, making it a versatile tool in your quiver.
