This classic layup found on the Switch Sonic and Switch Sonic Progression is focused on durability and responsiveness, ensuring a perfect combination for freeriding needs. This construction is simple yet effective for soft, easy and forgiving riding.
MULTI-ZONE BIOTECH CORE
The Airush Multizone Biotech Construction is a vertical paulownia wood core sandwich. This multilayer construction creates a consistent density from the natural material. Our wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile combination of laminates depending on each model’s requirement, for all-round performance and durability.
SIX FIN CONFIGURATION
The sonic is kitted with 6 fins. Allowing the rider to either ride the board with a traditional 4 fin set-up or a 6 fin configuration, adding 2 more fins to the heal side edge. The extra 2 fins allow for better rail control and upwind performance in very light winds. The optional 6 fin configuration makes the sonic one of the most versatile light wind boards on the market.
LOW LIGHTWIND ROCKER LINE
This rocker is our flattest rocker specifically designed for light wind riding. This rocker makes sure the board starts planing in incredibly light wind and results in reduced drag between the board’s base and the water surface.
FMS FLEX RATING | 5.5
Airush introduced FMS rating as the first brand to quantify how much a twintip flexes. Instead of the good old “feel” test, which can be very deceptive due to the impact of the length on the overall stiffness, FMS takes into account the board’s length and deflection. A lower rating indicates a softer board more suited to freeride, while higher-rated stiffer boards are more suited to freestyle.
