Returning as the most versatile bar on the market while keeping Safety and reliability as top priority. The Smartbar 5 is further refined while remaining packed with adjustments within the bar and lines to customize your riding style to perfection. The first ever bar that has four length adjustments, the Smartbar can be changed from 45-55 or 52-62 with simple and easy changes. This allows the bar to be used from our absolute smallest kite to the largest kite in the Airush range. In addition, the Smartbar 5 includes the same line length changes as before with an option of 24, 21, 18, 15, or 10m lines which gives every type of rider their choice of lines whether freerider, freestyle or wave rider.

The PU coated depower line makes sheeting in and out effortless with two minimal diameter tubings. This PU coated line extends the lifespan of the centerline increasing the reliability of all airush bars.

The Airush Bars has Safety as first priority. An industry standard Brain Quick release and colorcoding on all parts makes the Airush system perfect and hassle free for all riders. Continuing for 2014, the LOW Y on the center–lines allows for a quicker turning kite with more forward speed. Front line flag out for easy packdown as well as a new splitter which allows easy conversion between 4 and 5 lines should you own both styles of kite.

2014 Bar End The all-new Airush Bar ends continue for 2014 giving you more customization than any other Bar on the market. The 2014 bar end features Soft Touch – a PU coated casing which provides protection for riders and their boards – as well as the built-in bar adjuster which gives an extra 3.5cm of quick adjustment on both sides. The structure of the 2014 bar end also increases the strength of the entire piece, resulting in a more reliable, durable part.

BRAIN QUICK RELEASE The Brain Quick Release is Airush complete package of ergonomic, easy and safe way of releasing yourself from the kite. Following industry push away standards, the Brain Quick Release is intuitive to release but also extremely simple to reset. In addition, the internal teflon swivel makes untwisting your lines quick for all your spinning manoeuvres. The Brain Quick Release is featured on all Airush Smart and Analog Bars

LOW Y SYSTEM Continued for 2014, the Low Y System allows for single front line flag out system. Providing a safe way for killing the power of your kite. Not only improving safety, the Low Y increases the angle of the front lines, which avoids unnecessary pinching or folding of the kite. By doing so, the wingtips become looser and move more independently, greatly increasing the maneuverability, turning speed and response of the kite.

SOFT TOUCH On the entire 2014 Airush control bar range, the Airush Soft Touch is a durable rubber molding, encasing the bar ends. With a softer bar end, the Soft Touch prevents surfboard dings, adds an element of safety and comfort, only available on the 2014 Airush control bar.

4 Wide Making the Airush one of a kind, the new Smartbar 5 features a truly unique system. With a few simple and quick changes between the all-new bar ends and the exclusive pin adjustment system, the Airush Smartbar 4 gives the rider the option of a 45-52-55–62 length bar. An industry first, the Airush Smartbar 5 can be used on all Airush inflatable kites from our biggest race kite to our smallest freeride kite.

TIPS & TUNING The Smartbar is the only bar on the market that adjusts to 4 different widths and can be used on the entire range of Airush kites from the 4m DNA to the 18m Lithium Zero. We changed from our High Y to Low Y in 2013 and haven’t looked back. The benefits of having a lower Y split reduces the pinching effect that slows the kite down and hinders movement. It also benefits when self launch and landing, keeping the front lines closer to you. We also updated the pigtails to a more robust material to handle all the fatigue while kiting. This was one major comment from frequent users. On all Tips from the Designer – there are recommended bar lengths for each size kite. But since you have access to all 4 sizes on to one bar, we welcome you to try a smaller or larger bar setting which will increase or decrease overall speed and input when you are riding.
