Tech specs

ACTIVE TECHNOLOGY The Key to the Active Stringers Strength is the stiff and ultra lightweight carbon I-beam through the center of the board. This prevents the board from over flexing and damaging the laminate when flexing beyond the working range. The secret to the Active Technology flex is the high memory polypropylene layer, that allows the full bi-axial carbon skins to flex and compress within the working range. The combination gives a perfect blend of maximum flex, with maximum durability.

FLYTECH III BAMBOO The Flytech III Bamboo comprises of a dual sandwich, hi-density standing area, with a full deck bamboo sandwich. This ensures strength and lightweight in the standing area. The Bottom deck features the innovative new Bio-flex bamboo sandwich. The unique bias orientation and bamboo combination creates the most flex possible in a wood sandwich.

TIPS & TUNING As the converse has the most rocker and straps far back it can be challenging going upwind for some riders. If you re riding in straps it helps to take your back foot out of the strap. Avoid the converse if you are a beginner surf rider. If you are looking for a board that you can kite and surf, look at one size bigger than what you would normally kite, you will quickly get used to it. Also avoid using the front pad (i.e sticking it down) if you are going to surf the board, as it can give a rash (on your chest :) ) and reduces comfort when paddling. Keep in mind that this board is most suited to down the line waves with power, so none of our surf shapes are more “performance” than they other, they are all designed for maximum performance in specific conditions.
