In September 1966 four visiting Australian and American lifeguards paddled into the biggest waves that had ever been surfed on British shores; changing the way that British surfers looked at their waves.

On their journey they‘ll meet key characters from the history of British surfing as well as current crews that epitomise each region’s unique surfing culture.
Having tracked the history, Mitch and Egor will set off on their own journey of surf exploration. Packing their S-MAX with a selection of boards, heavy-duty wetsuits and film gear, the boys will head to the UK’s newest frontiers, continuing the hunt for the perfect British wave.
This is a story about characters, heritage and an uncompromising passion told through interviews, archives and animation. It is a film that shows how our very British weather has created some of the best and most unique surf in the world.
