AGGRESSIVE FREERIDE
Airush introduces the Apex in a new configuration, combining higher rocker, increased width and the new Venturi Concave. The unique concave stabilizes the board at faster speeds and enables the fin area to sit deeper in the water, allowing the rider to use smaller fins for the same level of grip.
The construction features a key innovation in the form of the Asymmetrical 3D Shape. This precision CNC shape enhances the performance of the independent flex tips and Carbon Torsion Control, by aligning the response of the board with the riders weight orientation towards the heel edge.
Target User Advanced freeride and freestyle performance.
Rails Square ABS rail for durability and a fast clean water release. Tapered rail works in conjunction with the independent Flex tips.
Rocker Intermediate to high rocker design for more comfort in chop and aggressive riding performance.
Flex Medium stiffness rating for a good blend of comfort and pop.
Bottom Shape The New Venturi Concave bottom enhanced the stability and grip of the board. This is achieved by channeling water away from the fins and concentrating the flow through the centre of the board in the tail area.
Planform An increase in width works in conjunction with the higher rocker for a board that is a high performance ride yet comfortable and easy to use.
Fins The wake series fins offer a combination of good tracking while being forgiving when turning.

BIO TECH CORE The Airush Multizone Biotech construction is a vertical wood core sandwich comprising of a dual density Balsa and Poplar core with ABS rail and tips. The higher density poplar stringer creates a hyper responsive center section while the outer balsa section minimizes the weight. Our wood cores are renowned for their response, durability and smoothness, and are combined with a versatile tri axial laminate for all-round performance and durability.
VENTURI CONCAVE Featured on the Apex the New Venturi Concave, bottom enhances the stability and grip of the board. This is achieved by channeling water away from the fins and concentrating the flow through the center of the board in the tail area.
DUAL CARBON The Dual Carbon Biotech construction offers an incredible combination of reduced weight with high durability in an intermediate flex board. The additional stiffness of the full Carbon fiber top and bottom layer allow us to reduce the core thickness and materials used, leading to a significant weight saving over a glass board. Both top and bottom decks feature a durable PPT top sheet layer to protect the laminate.
CARBON TORSION CONTROL Airush Carbon Torsion Control creates a unique performance advantage developed specifically for performance freeride boards. Traditionally higher flex boards, ideal for freeride, have significant torsional flex. The Carbon Torsion Control features bias oriented Carbon fiber along the heel edge, reducing the amount of torsional flex in this area. This allows you to ride the board flatter for increasing comfort and speed.
TIPS & TUNING The Apex’s are the widest of the Airush twintips relative to length, and suit intermediates that don’t necessarily want to ride too powered or advanced riders looking for something a bit more forgiving than the Livewire. The Apex has a higher rocker than the Switch so this makes it a good choice in chop.
