Predator VX360 Wearable Waterproof Digital Video System
A first in personal video technology, the Predator VX360 is the only fully waterproof, wearable, on-the-fly controllable modular camcorder designed specifically for extreme adventure.
Using solid state memory with no moving parts, jolting, jarring and persistent vibration is all taken in its stride. The Predator VX360’s outer case is also designed and built to withstand impact that body and standard gear cannot.
Video is recorded at up to 30 frames per second to ensure high speed action isn’t just a blur. The Sony Super HAD CCD™ sensor delivers blisteringly detailed images which record onto solid state SD or SDHC memory card.
You can choose to record at web, VGA or TV quality to make the most of the Predator VX360’s capacity or ability. An 8GB card can take over six hours of footage. Once it’s full you can insert another memory card and carry on recording so no need to empty the contents on computer before using again. In addition sound is recorded through a waterproof microphone housed in the recorder.
The Predator VX360 is ready to use from the box: insert the battery, connect the cable and press the one-touch-record. You have full control over it from the moment you switch it on. You can even review the video footage on the integrated colour LCD in the same conditions you’ve recorded them.
Connect the VX360 to your PC and it will automatically download the footage. Using the Predator Splitscene Software wizards you can edit and post the footage to personal video blogs or save it to your video library.
Alternatively it can plug straight into the TV for review. All cables are supplied in the box as well as the arm strap and head strap plus camera mounting patches for helmet wear too.

Unique & distinctive design
The VX360 is designed to be used easily and effectively. From the large, tactile control buttons on the recording unit to rotational adjustment of the distinctive spherical camera unit and socket mounting system, the entire device provides the ultimate in control and flexibility.
Waterproof & rugged
Not only is the VX360 waterproof but it is designed and built for use in the most extreme conditions. The cases are made of impact resistant plastics plus the recording unit has an internal aluminium frame for added strength. The spherical shape of the VX360 camera unit provides the ultimate in protection against distortion from impact. The recording unit is also solid state, so there are no moving parts that would otherwise suffer from vibration and impact. Even the cable between the camera and recording unit is impact and abrasion resistant.
Wearable, small & lightweight
Designing the VX360 to be light weight increases the options when it comes to attaching it to the body. The recording unit can be strapped to the upper arm, where you can access the control buttons and view the colour LCD screen, without it impacting on physical performance or getting in the way. The VX360 camera component is light enough to only require a headband to attach to the head and, due to its 360° rotational capability, can even be mounted on other places on the body for a variety of more unusual camera angles.
Controllable
Mounting the vx360’s recording unit on the upper arm offers the user complete control over the operation of the device. The video control buttons for power, record, pause and stop are all immediately available. This enables the user to decide what they film and what they don’t. Having this level of control ensures that the action and excitement of extreme sport is captured and avoids lengthy computer editing to find the ‘good bits’.
LCD screen
Having a screen on board is the ultimate luxury in the sports headcam world. It allows you to review the results of your efforts without delay. But having one you can always view because it’s mounted within your visual field means that you can ensure your camera is always pointing in the right direction. In fact, because of the unique camera and socket mount design you can actually change the camera angle on the fly and use the LCD screen to ensure your new angle is exactly what you want.
Removable recordable media & personal video recorder (PVR)
Flip open the watertight lid of the VX360’s recording unit and you have immediate access to the SD card slot. This means that you can use any number of cards to obtain footage providing an unlimited recording capacity. This is especially useful if you are unable to download footage from the card immediately such as on holiday or temporarily without a computer or laptop to hand.
The internal PVR is designed to be completely removable. This allows for the battery to be replaced with a freshly charged one, recharging of the device after a hard days filming or for down or uploading footage. You can even pocket the PVR and take it down the pub to show your latest efforts. It can even be plugged into a television for immediate screening.
Innovation
With two patents pending, both the VX360 recording unit and the spherical camera unit with socket mounting system have unique uses of technology and form designed into them. Without these innovations many of the beneficial features of the VX360 would not exist.
Splitscene software
The VX360 is supplied with an intuitive application that takes away the hard graft of finding the great bits of footage. As soon as you plug the VX360’s PVR into your computer the software detects and downloads the footage for clipping. It invites you to add information and tag your clips. This information can be used for automatically updating information on personal internet video blogging sites.
