Welcome to NWKS. We aspire to provide top class tuition on all of our courses by adhering to the guidelines set out by the BKSA and IKO. In June 2007 we became a BKSA approved school proving our commitment to provide a top class service with strict safety measures and provide a good range of equipment. New to the school in spring 2007 a full range of Starkite Bow and “C” type school kites. All staff employed by NWKS are First Aiders, hold RYA powerboat level L2 certificate and the core crew have been CRB checked. We pride ourselves on being flexible with our customers and always do our best to ensure courses go ahead wherever possible.
New courses for 2008
We will also be offering improver courses for those who have reasonable board riding skills and wish to advance to skills like up-wind riding, jumping, change of direction etc.
We will be running the improver courses once a month covering all 3 skills in 3 x 1hour sessions over the day. This will enable students to take 1 or all 3 of the courses in one trip. There will be 1 hour breaks between the courses for practice sessions. Details in the courses section.
The same courses will be available throughout the summer evenings for a minimum of 2 people.

The Discovery Kiteboarder Program - £95.00

Description: The best way to discover kiteboarder! by the end of this program you will be ready for the next step "getting up on the board". The first part of this program will take you through the steps of piloting a 2 and 4 line kite and body dragging in the water. You will also learn about safety and it's importance in the sport. You will also be taken through the steps of equipment set up, launching and landing. This course covers up to 6 hours tuition. Additional hours are available at £16 per hour.
Pre-Requisites: No previous experience necessary, ability to swim with confidence.
Achievement: Certification up to level 1, ready to safely continue to level 2.

| Intermediate Kiteboarder Program - £95.00 |

Description: By the end of this program you will get up on the board for the first time. During the course you will improve your kite piloting with power, one hand kite piloting and body dragging hooked in to your harness. Perfect for those who want to pratice occasionally and rent equipment during holidays. (Up to 6 hours tuition. Additional hours available @£16 per hour.)
Pre-Requisites: Kiteboarder level 1 or proven equivalent level.
Achievement: Certification up to level 2, ability to rent equipment and practice under supervision.

Independent Kiteboarder Program £25 Per Hour

Description: You will be able to ride upwind and do your first jump,
you will learn how to manage your practice area and choose your
equipment. Your kite flying skills will be improved and you will learn
how to control your direction and power. You will be able to fly more
powerful kites, and be able to use a smaller twin tip board. (Up to 6
hours tuition. Additional hours available @£16 per hour.)
Pre-Requisites: Kiteboarder level 2 or proven equivalent skills.
Achievement:
Certification up to level 3, become an independant kiteboarder, buy
your own equipment, access to the advanced clinic program, become an
assistant instructor.

The Improver Kiteboarder Course £25 per session

For these courses we ask you to bring your own equipment, this will be checked by the instructor for integrity and you will receive help with tuning etc therefore helping you with any problems you may be having with your own kit. This also gives all students to network ideas regarding equipment.
The same courses will be available throughout the summer evenings for a minimum of 2 people.

You will learn basic kite flying skills and how to use the wind
window using a small 2-line trainer kite. Also you will learn how to
launch, land and release the power of the kite. Course duration 1 hour.
Price £16, groups of up to 4 persons £12 each.
Pre-Requisites: No previous experience necessary.

You will start with a 2 line trainer kite session as above then
progress into 4-line flying on handles and or a bar. You will learn how
to use a harness and how to create traction for scudding and jumping.
You will learn how to risk assess the flying area and how to set up and
pack down the equipment. Course duration 4 hours. Price £65 pp. groups
of 4 £220
Pre-Requisites: No previous experience necessary.
