King of Watersports would like to Welcome our new Team Rider - Liam Turner Liam's hobbies include surfing, skateboarding, swimming and wake-boarding. He has been surfing since he was 4 years old. His first surf trip was to France when he was just 5. He has been on surf trips to the canary Islands, Costa rica, Portugal. This year he is going on his first trip to Indonesia, and has just recently returned from a 3 month training session in Guadeloupe (Caribbean). He will also heading to Morocco in Sept 08 for a photo shot with animal. Liam only started to complete in 2007 but plans to enter every contest with the BSA and BSPA in 08. Contest results: 2nd Tedzo surf classic under `16's 4th Cornish schools championship under 14's Semi finals Hot Tuna surf championships Semi finals Billabong nationals Qtr finals Oakley expression 2nd Tedzo under 18 2nd Animal interschools 2nd English nationals under 14 5th overall Hurley under 18 1st place free Poupou Guadeloupe
Liam was chosen to attend the elite squad to be coached by former European champion Mike Raven and sponsored by Ncdc, and has also been picked for 08. Liam is currently sponsored by Board-Culture surfboards, C Skins, Animal and DB surfboards (calif) Liam is surfing daily with experienced surfers including; Paul Kirby, Reubyn Ash, Darren Horstman, Eugene Tollemarche and Cliff Cox, who are all Board-Culture team riders. They are all looking to see Liam reach his full potential. Also in Oct/Nov issue of Wavelength page 30 there is a small article (five minutes with Liam Turner) Liam's goal is to become a professional surfer.
