Introducing KoW's NEW Team Rider James Boulding

	"I'm really happy to be representing KOW, they share a passion that goes back to the roots of the sport and are keen to see it progress and grow and I'm grateful for their support to help me push in the direction I'd like to see it go." I started kiting in 2002 and dabbled with it throughout my time at University whilst studying Mathematics. Upon graduation I couldn't bear the thought of going straight into work so started doing seasons teaching kitesurfing abroad. This quickly led to me becoming very involved and a desire to push my own riding level. I returned to the UK to compete in the british tour in 2009 in which I placed 2nd overall in the Pro's.
After being sponsored by Liquid Force in 2008 I quickly joined their international team and have had 3 amazing years riding alongside their top riders. Quickly moving away from the PKRA and freestyle based competitions after finishing the season in the UK, I was lucky enough to gain a wildcard invite last year to the prestigious Triple S event, held yearly in Cape Hatteras. An event that brings together the top world riders of Surf, Slicks (flat water tricks) and Sliders (rails and obstacles).
This year I'll be returning to the states under a full invite and look forward to riding with guys such as Aaron Hadlow, Ruben Lenten, Ian Alldredge, Andre Philip etc... before heading over to the west coast to hit up the Ro-Sham Throwdown. A similar invite competition based around stylish riding on rails, sliders and flat water tricks. For me, top level riding isn't about seeing how many spinning handlepass tricks you can ram into a 7 minute heat. It's about riding that looks smooth and stylish with lots of power.
