Description
F.One Bamboo Signature Kitesurfing Surfboard 2011
Sizes: 5'8'' x 45, 5'10'' x 45, 6'0'' x 46
The Signature range has a brand new shape:
- Double concave V on the entire length of the board - New wider nose and rounded pin tail - New rocker
This super-versatile shape allows you to ride in a wide variety of conditions, from the typical European on-shore conditions to the reef breaks with side or side-off shore winds. This new shape is specifically designed to handle power and speed involved in wave kite surfing. The V allows an effortless entry into a turn from rail to rail while at the same time keeping the board in check during the turns. The double concave gives more comfort and a quicker acceleration when needed. The wider nose stabilizes the board and gives it a more predictable ride, allowing the rider to concentrate on their next move and timing on the wave. The result of these changes is immediate, even on a simple jibe as you can lean deep into a turn, much like when you carve with a snowboard. In the surf, the bottom-turn can be more radical, with lots of pressure without losing speed, allowing the rider to head back up the face to smack the lip. The rider can change the turn radius at any time and the board will hit the lip exactly where you want it with less effort and no big technical skills involved.
The 5'8" is aimed at smaller riders and is an awesome weapon in hollow & barreling waves.
The 5'10" is more designed for riders between 65kg and 80kg
The 6'0" is great for bigger riders or for riding strapless because its length gives it a bit more stability without the straps. The board's length and volume allows the rider to do less with the kite and concentrate on riding the wave. For example, when riding back-side it is useful to have a little more volume.

BAMBOO SANDWICH TECHNOLOGY
A kite board sustains more constraints than a standard surf board. It endures more pressure mainly in the upwind stage, in the chops and during jumps.
A sandwich construction is required to have a product adapted to our sport.
Loyal to wood, which is the core of our twin-tip boards, F.One chose bamboo for their kiteboards. The result is a light structure, super strong which absorbs the constraints.
The extremely dense cellular structure of the bamboo surpasses the one of the oak in stability and elasticity.
Bamboo is superior to wood in terms of durability and rigidity. This mighty grass is extremely solid due to high elasticity fibers lined up to the cane on the outer layer of the peel.
In traction’s resistance, bamboo fibers match up the ones of trees and constructions steel. The use of bamboo is also environmentally responsible. It benefits from an astonishing growth rate: the “giant bamboo” will grow 30 to 50cm per day to reach 15 to 30meters.
Every year the “mother plant” generates several shoots. In a full grown “forest” the shoots can therefore be harvested after 5years without reducing the size of the forest.
